Facilities Engineering Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant manufacturing / engineering degree is preferred, or HND, BTec Professional Level 5 Award or equivalent NVQ Level 5 qualification
  • Completed a fully indentured apprenticeship with a mechanical/ electrical/ electronic discipline
  • 5 years’ experience in Plant Maintenance in the automotive environment (Essential)
  • 2 years` experience in management and leadership roles (Essential)
  • Experience of managing P&L responsibilities for maintenance
  • Understanding of IATF16949, IOSH/NEBOSH, ISO14001, ISO50001

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.
  • Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out.
  • Increase the site operational effectiveness, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans.
  • Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures.
  • Prepare the annual Maintenance budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards. 
  • Produce written reports and make presentations.

Health & Safety Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • BTech Degree/ National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety/ Environment (Essential).
  • Matric (Essential)
  • SAMTRAC course (Essential).
  • 10 Years Health and Safety experience in Health and Safety/Environment and 5 years in Manufacturing industry (Essential).
  • Must have HIRA training course.
  • Must have completed an incident investigation training course.
  • Must have completed ISO 14001& 45001 Implementation & Internal Auditing courses
  • Must have driver’s licence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Hesto’s operation by contributing to the risk management process
  • Conduct and manage the results of audits to ensure compliance
  • Ensure the annual audit programme required by legislation is established, developed (when required), implemented, documented, reviewed, and updated
  • Co-ordinate audits carried out between internal and/or external audit organisation to ensure successful completion
  • Encourage communication within all operational departments to achieve consistency in the effective implementation of safety management
  • Manage company Covid-19 Compliance
  • Manage the onsite occupational Health Clinic
  • Ensure proper management of security and cleanliness within Hesto.

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

  • MS Office
  • Good knowledge of (OHSA) Occupational Health & Safety Act and COIDA
  • Good communication skills (Verbal & Written).
  • Must be willing to work overtime.
  • Good knowledge of- OHS, COID, ISO 14001 & 45001.
  • Be able to pay attention to detail.

VAVE Co-ordinator

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12/NQF 4 (Essential)
  • Bachelors Degree/BTech in Quality/Engineering or other relevant qualification (Preferrable)
  • Diploma in Engineering or Quality (Essential)
  • 3 years automotive/manufacturing industry (Essential)
  • 5 years experience working in a quality/engineering role (Advantageous)
  • Microsoft office – intermediate word, power point and excel (Essential)
  • Basic knowledge of quality systems (IATF16949, ISO 9001).(Essential)
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Core Tools (Essential)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cost Down Activity for Internal and External
  • BOM comparison and ECR implementation
  • Process and Labour Time Activity
  • Ensure at model changeover components are evaluated and visualized
  • General management of the VAVE Centre
